Question Linux Admin Project .. point me to one.

Im looking to attempt a project at work.. ill try to explain and you can tell me if it already exists out there maybe.

Windows clients .. approx 2000 of them. running 2000/XP
need to be rebuilt on a frequent basis.

I was thinking of installing linux on a small partition so that when told to do so .. the box can boot from that partition and rebuild itself over the network.

If you know of a project or anything that uses this functionality please let me know..

also the ability to boot to the linux partition and rebuild the box should be controllable in some way I hope.
