Linux Active Directory rfc2307 integration

All, i have an AD forest with one parent domain and two child domains.

i have a 2012 DC and implemented the following on it within powershell:

Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:adminui /all
Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:nis /all
Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurenamesync /all

i think i did everything on the linux side that i needed to

when i do
getent passwd on my linux box i only see usernames from one of the child domains and it seems to be guids of 1000000 and up. any ideas why im not seeing the root domain or all my AD users?

Thank you,

Perhaps you could expand a little on the "did everything on the linux side" bit?

getent perform lookups using NSS libraries. The question is, which NSS library are you using, and how did you configure it?

Thank you for your reply, sorry i didnt reply sooner. I have been really busy with other projects.

I followed this doc:

http://www.redhat.com/rhecm/rest-rhe...h:resourceFile

i tried getent passwd and still have the same issue. i dont see all users across my forest or even parent domain.
