Font listings clean-up

can anyone think of a reason why I should not create a little directory listing my generally used fonts and put that in /usr/share/fonts? chuck the rest of all the stuff they have there into a /junkpile someplace ?

going through 487 fonts using the font-manage is a bit tedious

nope. Its called stream lining.

I'd keep the basic general system fonts, and most used, and toss the rest, if finding you need something else, then install it.
