I decided to give gentoo a try, and so far it is pretty cool (I am really loving the alsa drivers for one...man they sound good.)
I decided to emerge fluxbox so I would have a desktop whilst emerging kde. The only problem is that fluxbox is using dead keys ie: éÉççççÇÇÇèÈ
Well, you get the idea. When I am just using the console I have no problem, everything works fine. I have searched all the fluxbox config files and have not found anything relating to keyboard mappings. Does anyone know how to kill this, as it is driving me nuts, and makes it very difficult to get around on the command line.
Also...where did fluxbox-generate-menu go (I would put a question mark here but I cant arrrggggggg)
gentoos emerge of fluxbox did not seem to include it.
Thanks for the link. I do have the xmodmap command, but I do not have the list of keymappings at /usr/share/xmodmap, or anywhere else on my system. I'll do some more searching...
