I want to get fluxbox installed on my 486 that is running RH 6.2, but for some reason I keep getting an error why running the "make" command. When I run it, it does it job for a while until at one point, it gives me the following error:

Screen.cc 496: no matching function for call to 'for_each (Workspace**, Workspace**, {unknown type})
Screen.cc 503: no matching function for call to 'for_each (FluxboxWindow**, FluxboxWindow**, {unknown type})
Screen.cc 508: __list_iterator<Netizen*, Netizen *& **>, __list_iterator <Netizen *,Netizen *&Netizen **>, {unkown type}
make [2] *** [screen.o] error 1
make [2] Leaving directory '/home/Penguin/Fluxbox-0.1.8/src'
make [1] *** [all recursive] error 1
make [1] Leaving directory '/home/Penguin/Fluxbox-0.1.8'
make: *** [all recursive-am] error 2

Does anybody know how to fix this or know how to get around this.

I'm not sure for the exact reason, there may be a workaround, but try using version 0.0.16. I have that running and it should work. When make gives an error like that it sounds like a fault in the program code.

Did you type configure before the make:

./configure

then:

make

then:

make install
