didnt compile as modules, a way to get modules?

When I compiled the kernel, I messed up and compiled unionfs and squashfs as * not M. I already installed the kernel etc. Is it to late to pull modules from the kernel? I dont want to have to remake and install again . Anyway around this would be greatly appreciated. thanks

oh, haha forgot to mention the problem. Linux-live requires squashfs.ko and unionfs.ko, and they arnt to be found this way.

Haven't tried, but the following should work - change the options; make && make modules_install.
At which point you should be able to modprobe them - in need.

Won't take long for the build given only a couple of modules change.
Don't see the reason for all the angst.

You'll have to compile them if you want them. No way around it as far as I know.

Also, you won't be able to load a module whose code is also built into the currently-running kernel.
