/dev/hdxx = partition name

Does anyone know how to find out what device is a partition name associated with?

For example I have a partition called /var/admin that I want to encrypt, I need to know exactly what it is, /dev/hda6 or /dev/hda7 etc. Can I get a list somehow?

I'm using Fedora C2 and it behaves like Windows, I wanted 13 partitions in a certain order and it insisted in using its own order. I can't remember what the result was.

Thank you for your help.

Run the "mount" command to see what devices are mounted where.
