Are actually meaning tables instead of DBs?
Ares these DBs of your own making or some application?

michaelk,

No, there are multiple DBs with same or similar names, so first query has to run the cmd:
Code:
SHOW DATABASES;
which then has to be loaded into an array and displayed via HTML in the browser.

The HTMl page must show this array twice:

1.) Single select the target DB where the results are to be stored,
2.) Multi-select of the other DBs to be processed.

This is much easier to do in PHP than BASH but need both versions as PHP may not always be available, as you know from my other submittals I was challenged in that, so I'll go back to writing it in PHP and then convert to BASH after that is working.

I'm thinking that writing the HTML page separately and passing the array to it will be much simpler than defining it in the PHP file, then passing the array to it and letting it know if it is PHP or BASH calling it.

What do you think?

Cheers!

TBNK

You can write a php command line script but you can also run queries using mysql from bash as well.
