ctrl + alt + del binding in X windows

Hi All,

I have configured several HP t5525 thin-client terminals using Damn Small Linux (I didn't really get on with HP's Linux OS) to act as Citrix clients.

I basically changed the .xinitrc file for the dsl user to load the Citrix Metaframe Client as the window manager, passing our published desktop ICA file as an argument. I also trapped the death of the Citrix client, so that when a user logs out, the terminal will shut itself down and switch off.

The result is a pretty seamless user experience - they only see Linux briefly as it's booting, then they are presented with a standard Windows authentication dialog. All fine and dandy, I thought...

However, users who wish to lock their desktop obviously press ctrl+alt+delete - which shuts the box down! I editted my inittab file, and commented out the line that configures the ctrl+alt+delete action. Now, the OS ignores ctrl+alt+delete from a virtual console, however, in the Citrix (X-windows) session, pressing this key combination still kills the X-server, which in turn, shuts down the box!

So close, yet so far...

Anyway, any help with this matter would be most appreciated,

Pete

PS - If anyone is interested in how I set up the terminals, let me know and I'll created a post.

That's a strange thing. I've never heard of any X-key-binding for that combo.
Check your xorg.conf (XF86Config) and other initialisation files to see
whether anything the like has been defined. X certainly has NO notion of
it by default.

Cheers,
Tink
