Chromium?

Not a major problem, but I have a feeling it may blossom into one....

I've installed Red Hat 7.2 three times now, using KDE as my GUI. There is a game called "Chromium". Whenever I try to load the game, or the "Chromium setup", Linux freezes.

It has done it all three times, same problem.

I've even tried removing some memory (My 756 is far below Linux's 2000 limit, but I had a lot of freezing problems in windows when opening any sort of graphics, so it was worth a shot)

I also tried initiating from the TUI, still no-go.

I just don't want this to start happening when I load CAD programs, so I want to nip it in the bud now!

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your card.

And that big monster at the end of the level is one bad dude!

That may be it. I use a Rage Fury MAXX 128, but Linux recognizes it as "Rage 128"

Now, where can I go to get updated Linus drivers?

sourceforge?

It appears that it can work but you will have to manually configure it.

Here is a place to start looking for details

http://www.xfree86.org/4.2.0/ati.html

It is my opinion that ATI is not a great choice for linux yet
