CentOS, FEDORA Fails to boot after new installation
I am trying to install Fedora/CentOS on a Fujitsu PRIMERGY TX100 S3 server. After the successful installation the linux doesn't boot. It halts on the screen darcut warning : No root device "block:/dev/disk/by-uuid/............"
Both the Centos and Fedora display same kind of error.
The system have 1TB*2=2TB harddisks and I have made Raid0. I have tried using defualt linux partition layout as well as custom layout.
yup i tested and confirmed centos7 dont have bootloader option ,
i installed centos7 in several desktop its working, however not yet testing
on server raid base,
IMO centos7 not ready for production yet, could you test with centos 6.5
just want to know its working with that or not
if not then you might need to check your bios is there any disk eg efi disk
is starting first in the bios , if yes then configure to boot with raid,
because some system mostly server contain on board disk
Thank you for your help. I have also tried Fedora and there I see bootloader option. THere are two options for bootloader 1. Master Boot Record (selected by default)
2. First sector of primary boot partition. I selected the second option this time but after installation the linux booted to rescue mode stating no file system.
I have checked boot options in setup. Following options are avilable
IBA GE Slot 0200 v1381
Embedded RAID Controller CD/DVD ROM
Embedded RAID Controller (AHCI)
