Hello,
Please show me the way to archive all my hard drive, to make backup of my system.
Everytime when I try to do it with tar it gaves me errors like:
"Error exit delayed from previous errors"
and I can't make full archive...
I'm not a fan of the imaging solutions, but regardless, I agree that the backup should be done from a LiveCD.
As for using tar on a running system, you probably need to exclude a few directories - /proc and /dev come to mind. Fire up a CD, and do it from there.
