Alien error

Hi
im trying to convert a rpm file to a deb.

alien -d filename.rpm

But i keep geting this error :
hostname : Host name lookup failure
hostname : Host name lookup failure
df_clean: I have no package to build
make : *** [binary-arch] Error!
package build failed: Illegal seek at /usr/share/perl5/Alien/Package/Deb.pm line 388

the file im trying to convert is the display driver for my radeon 9000. So this is quite important because i can't start X.

Thanks
Mikkel

I see your question is rather old, however, I wonder if you had the file downloaded to your local dir it sound like you were trying to do it over the net
