Thank you RVF16! Your original issue happened to me as well and I just couldn't figure out why and it wasn't until I saw your answer of disabling the ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support section that helped me figure out where to begin. I actually left that section intact and disabled generic IDE stuff, as well as the ATA PIIX driver within that section so that I could retain CD writing capabilities. Thanks again for actually posting a solution to your own issue because it would have taken me longer to figure this one out.
