World of Warcraft on Wine - Partial Success! (Help me figure out rest)

Ok - here's the spiel:

Here's my drive setup:

HDA1 Swap
HDA2 Ext3 (FC5)
HDA3 WindowsXP
HDA5 Install (Has WoW)

I've installed the kmod-ntfs from livna.org, and my 3d rendering works.

I installed wine using yumex. (And all it's dependencies)

# mkdir /mnt/Install
# mount /dev/hda5 /mnt/Install
# mkdir /mnt/Windows
# mount /dev/hda3 /mnt/Windows

I run # wine /mnt/Install/World\ of\ Warcraft/WoW.exe

THE GAME WORKS!!!

I can login and play...

--------------------------------------------------

Bug list:[list][*]Graphical errors up the yin-yang (stormwind looks like it's got mile-long stone shards sticking through it, and that it's been hit by earthquake upon earthquake.[*]I get outside of the city, and the environment looks fine, I can play the game, buildings are distorted, though (similar to stormwind[*] I get <15 fps all the time[*] I can interact with the UI in-game, but I can't interact with the environment, using my mouse (i can't target people - but if I <tab> to target someone, I can right-click their portrait and duel them, etc)

--------------------------------------------------

I hope this is helpful to those who've been trying to get WoW to run on linux - and to those who might be able to provide some helpful insight on getting it to work properly!

wine doesn't really have the right stuff..

cedega is what you're looking for.

http://www.transgaming.com/index.php...isplay&ceid=29

they actually have a contract with blizzard, and the game is tried and proven.

i am a cedega subscriber, and run EVE online flawlessly, sans-windoze
