Wine: Call of Duty 4: won't mount dvd drive

I've installed wine and Call of Duty 4 on Ubuntu 7.10
Multiplayer works perfect, but when I start single player I get this message:

fixme:mountmgr:harddisk_ioctl unsupported ioctl 70020

And then the game asks me to insert the dvd. The error is pretty obvious, but I have no idea what the fix would be.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any suggestions would be great.

To the best of my knowledge, you need the no-cd patch. I don't know how open this site is to allowing a link to that. you could try searching for it.
