I have seen this problem before posted on the Wine Application Database but there was no reply. Anyways Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne installed beautifully on Wine no hitches, I am using version 0.9.17. I updated Frozen Throne to the latest version too. The problem is the Gamma bar in the video setting of options in game is greyed out. This wouldn't be a problem if my monitor wasn't extremely dark which it is. Does anyone know a solution or way that I can somehow up the brightness of the game? My monitor brightness is already set to max.

You could maybe try the Linux command "xgamma -gamma x.x" where "x.x" is the number of your desired gamma, with 1.0 being the default value. "xgamma -gamma 1.5" would then be brighter, while "xgamma -gamma 0.5" would be darker. Try running that on a terminal before running the game or using alt-tab once the game is running.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I seen to have solved the problem after all, if I pass the command -opengl then the Gamma bar becomes enabled, now the game runs perfectly, very smooth with all settings maxed out.
