The Sims

Has anyone successfully run The Sims (any version, but preferably the original) in Linux?

I have the Sims for Linux (made by Transgaming). Other then that, I believe there were successes with running Sims under Linux, probably not number 2, but I can't confirm it.

The Sims for Linux, eh? Is it a faithful duplicate of the original? And I don't care about The Sims 2 anyway, because I was satisfied with 1. Some of its expansions, even, were more trouble than they were worth: someone gave me The Sims Vacation (my only expansion other than Livin' Large), and I found it ridiculously slow, as well as cheesy in what it added to the game.
