You need Cedega to do this. Either the paid for version or the CVS (free) version.

Building from CVS doesnt expire, but you dont get all the frills like their GUI (which i didn't really like) however when buying it you will have access to updates for new games etc. support and most importantly, you will be contributing to the project that allows you to play your favourite game

The other big difference between the CVS and Cedega...

You also get a program that "just works" out of the box with very little tweaking needed when you subscribe to Cedega.

As a Cedega user myself, I have to give it very high praises.

I play counter-strike, world of warcraft, etc on it all the time.

Works great.

CS Source, HL2, all of them.

If it's in steam, it'll work. Granted, for the newer stuff, you still need a good video card with plenty of vid ram.

cedega was very quick to get half life 2 working, as it was a huge release and a big selling point for cedega. i didnt get much chance to test it, but it worked ok, just not q as smooth as in windows. this was abt 6 months ago when i tried, so i dare say cedega has been improved since then
