Saints row 2 won't launch and sends eon2 crash report

Hi, the following error shows when trying to launch the game from steam and also from the terminal:

Code:
[thread ffffffff][I][0]: Log system initialised

I'm using Slackware 14.2 32-bit, also googled about "setrlimit(RLIMIT_MEMLOCK) " but I only found that SE linux was the issue, afaik I don't have it installed, since I haven't found anything related maybe the issue could be that it won't run since I don't have enough RAM, currently the system has 4GB physical but only 3GB available since I'm using an AMD APU.

Thanks for any suggestion about what to do.

When searching more about RLIMIT_MEMLOCK and also here on some old topics about K3B having issues with it, they suggest to run the application as root to by pass the MEMLOCK restriction, not the best solution but I'll give it a try and then inform back.
