running games more than once

I find that sometimes, when i exit a game (UT 2003 and Americas Army) i can't start them up again. I get the error:

abe@Silver:~$ ut2003
Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".
GL_EXT_bgra not supported - bailing out.

History:

Exiting due to error
abe@Silver:~$

But after rebooting it works fine again. Any ideas?
