Mouse problem in the new savage demo

I am running Savage under slack 9.1 with a recompiled 2.4.22 kernel and an ATi Radeon 9600 pro(official drivers) and when I enter a game, my mouse automatically moves to the right constantly. Anyone know how I can fix this?

hmm ... I bought the retail version and when I would start a game I would be looking down at the map and just spinning out of control ... the only thing that fixed it was running the game in windowed mode ... that might help here too.

Ok, well, the mouse thing worked great, thanks. Now savage likes to just close. I was definatly thinking about buying this game as I have the demo now.

I had the mouse problem also, constantly spinning in one direction and looking straight up. To keep the screen full size and remedy the problem try this, it worked for me.

Change this section in the XF86Config file:
SubSection "extmod"
Option "omit xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension
EndSubSection

TO

SubSection "extmod"
Option "xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension
EndSubSection

GL, and BTW this is the best game released recently for linux. I have wasted many hours playing this game.

no kidding, its awesome (except for that whole game lockup on exit thing). I send S2 an email saying that half the reason I bought it was because it advertised Linux support. I'm so afraid to buy games cause if they don't play or don't play well I can't take them back so I usually have to be really cautious.

Yay Savage

I agree and my gf disagrees totally. *quote*"When are you going to take a break from that game and come to bed?"
