how to play a game in windowed mode using wine


I want to to set wine to run in window mode via wine"emulation" how do i set that up on 1.0.1

I don't know much about wine, but can't you just run winecfg, go to the "Graphics" register, set the option "Emulate a virtual desktop" and set the "Desktop size" to an appropriate value?
