Guild Wars Wine Install Error

when ever I try to install guild wars using wine (ive also tried the cvs cedega, parents might not go for 5 bucks a month

) the installation program starts up perfectly but when I start to actually install it choosing the C: drive, the install program chucks an error at me saying it can't write the files to the destination and to check and see if I have read/write access to the destination. im pretty sure I do but I don't know what to do after this.

find out where it is trying to install too (mabey thoes errors will tell you)

either chmod your fake C drive 0777, or better yet, chown it to your user.

it sounds like you installed as root, are trying to run as a user using roots fake windows dir, and cant beacuse you dont have root permissions.

well, I got it to install. I had to donwload the client from the website and install it from my harddrive. it installed with no errors. I went to go play it, I signed in and after that the screen went black and all I could see was my mouse cursor. any thoughts cause im confused at this, and I ditched the cvs cedega and went with dx9wine

It installed perfectly no problems than when I try to run`it I get a blank screen the music plays and I think the game is running cause when I move the curser it will change into finger(you know when I go over something I can click) so yea I need some help.
I am running ubunto linux 8.10 . and am running it on wine not cedega (dont got the money.).
