Gaming wheels

Hi to everyone,i have a question about gaming wheels of which i have two,one is a super sports 3x,and the other is a Formula Force EX,my os is Zorin 12 ultimate which i really like but i am having trouble setting either of them as they are not recognized within the program which is Dirt 3 and wine although i have to say i am a complete beginner,

I can get to the stage where steam comes up and the Dirt 3 will play fine and i can fill everything in until i try to set the controls up for the Gaming wheel and then i guess there must be some thing missing because there is nothing happening,
My computer is quite good with MSI 970 gaming motherboard Amd3 quad processor and a excellent Graphics card so any help would be very much appreciated,Brian

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Is the wheel being detected in Linux? Linux should detect most of the wheels and controllers automatically. However, in some cases, it may happen, that it is unable to do so, hence the equipment won't work. In this case, you would have to check if there is a driver available for download.

If your wheel is detected in Linux, but not in wine, you might have to set it up through wine config. You could also try to install its drivers from a CD or download through wine. I have done that a couple times. Either way, wine does offer you access to the controllers menu, similar to what MS Windows has, in order to setup and calibrate the device.
