Diablo 2

Ok,,, I've been playing Diablo 2 for some years on my XP partition and i'm wondering.

What is the best way to install the game under my linux and winex (i'm a subscriber too)?
Is there an easy way to get the game running from the FAT32 partition it's on so that i don't have to use more space than i have too?

I'd just hate to start over again when i've finally gotten 3 of my characters through all 3 levels.

You can keep your saved files for sure. They are in a savegame directory somewhere inside where you isntalled the game. Just copy them into the appropriate folder for the new install.
To find out how Diablo 2 works under linux:

WineX appears to work perfectly with it
I'd try just running it from where it is first..

You should be able to mount the fat32 partition and run it through winex from that without reinstalling. Try it out.
