Cube World on WINE

Hello all.
I got a different error than everyone else did while trying to run Cube World. It says, "Cube.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." It doesn't bring up anything else. Should I search more or just set up a Windows VM?

You can run the executable via console to get deeper output.
I'd rather check in the wine app db what the level of compatibility for the game is.
