81 on Steam (currently 67 of them have Linux versions) and a whole bunch on physical media. Can't use GOG or Desura, they lack the payment options I use, though I have a few games from GOG that they gave away for free.
I want to be a Linux only gamer but I am unsure if it will meet my requirements. I used to play consoles for years and after about 3 or 4 dead PS3's I decided I wouldn't buy another console again. So far I have upholded to my decision. I have only a few Steam titles and plan on getting more very soon. The main issue for me is that I have heard too many horror stories of Linux unable to meet the requirements for such games like Call of Duty series, Battlefield, and most recent titles. I love using Linux and it is the only OS I use but when it comes to gaming all I want to do is game without having to deal with tons of configuration and tampering.
I'm in the market for a new PC build and was thinking of installing Windows to make a dedicated gaming PC, there is no other reason for this build. Can anyone convince me that Linux will suffice for the newer titles and Wine configured?

I doubt most newer Windows titles will work with Wine. Linux has over a 1000 native ports on Steam with more coming out.
@Dman58: Battlefield and Call of Duty are not available for Linux. Also, games that need DirectX 10 and 11 are currently not supported by Wine, so in your case a Windows system is the way to go.
Lords of Xulima
Shadowgate
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty
VoidExpanse
Steam Controller
Fallen: A2P Protocol
The Witcher 3
Running With Rifles
Company of Heroes 2
Batman: Arkham Knight
Transistor
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Space Pirates and Zombies 2
StarDrive 2
Saints Row IV
So who else is planning on getting the Steam Controller?
I'm late to the party here but I do enjoy me a good Linux game. About the only non-native Linux game I run is Avernum Escape from the Pit but that is through Wine. I could go on about open source games for awhile but to keep it short one of my favorites is The Battle for Wesnoth.
Personally, I'm hoping to find a game engine that works in Linux. Sure, Unity's cool, but at the moment they're just in the process of supporting games for Linux. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Not playing games anymore but have about 70 of them in my library, mostly cheap indie games from sales. There's only 2 or 3 games I've bought for a full price.
I've been windows free for 2 years now, feels good. In case I wanna play some windows only game there's wine for that.

To make games with?
CryEngine, Unreal Engine and Source Engine all support Linux.
And then for smaller games there's RenPy, Love2D, etc.
