Americas Army goes black...

Hi!! i'm new to linux and gaming in it.. I instaled americas army 2.5, everything went well, no warnings ou errors, but when i run it the splash screen appears, stays there for a few seconds and then the screen goes black and stays black...Anyone has an idea?

Runing Fedora 4 x86_64 with asus geforce 6600gt top with nvidia drivers installed and runing(could see when testing opengl screensavers, be-a-uuuutifull!!).
CPU AMD Athlon 64 3000+ venice @ 2300Ghz, 1GB A-DATA DDR566

Please HELP!! Would like so much to forget windows once and for all!!! And with more and more games coming to linux that's what will happen!!

I had a problem like that. first reinstall game.. then if that doesnt work, GO to nvidia.com and download the updated drivers for your card. install them make sure your xorg.conf files are config'd fine. If that still doesnt work (and this is where i fixed my quake3/UT problem) go back to nvidia.com and download the older driver releases starting at.. say.. 2003-2004, and install.. Those may not work for your card but find the earlyest one that does. I have a geforce mx400 and i had to go back to a 2003 release to get quake3 running when i reinstalled slackware. if AA still doesnt work donwload the next driver release until one works. if that doesnt help.. reinstall x11 mabey. compile it yourself and that might also fix your problem.
Ive lan'd my 1.35ghz athalon xp 1800+ 512 megs of ram with slackware linux with 3 monitor setup against 3.2 ghz p4's 1 gig of ram and i got better fps than they did with a 64meg geforce mx400 in medal of honor or ut or q3 or just about any other game cept mabey a few that didnt have linux patches and i had to use wine/winex/cedega < i use all 3. You wont be disapointed if you find a way to go full nix. Hope this helped
