A lot of problems on ET and UT2004:SAS

UT2004: SAS mod, crashes all the time when I try to start a game...

WARNING: ALC_EXT_capture is subject to change!
Signal: SIGSEGV [segmentation fault]
Aborting
.

No sound in Enemy Territory, had the same problem in Quake 4, but this command:
+set s_driver oss +set s_numberOfSpeakers 2
solved it, though it won't work on ET...

echo "nameofgame.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss

this works for me on et, change name of game to what ever the bianry is called in et, idont have it on at the moment so cant remember, it may also work for doom/quake as well. just put the appropriate abinary name. The above command has to be done as root, just log into a shell as root and issue it, then clsoe it and you shiould have sound. For some reason it doesnt always work firrst time , so if you get no sound on the game try it again and it should work. Do that each time you want to start the game after an x restart.

or in your case sudo
password

then issue the command
