There's only one version of
BLFS, not counting the historic versions that might still be out there.
As of some time now BLFS is regularly updated:

This is the BLFS Book in its current state. It is updated frequently. Most package build instructions in the book are annotated "This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-x.x platform." In most cases, older instructions will work with little or no modification on more recent versions of packages used in the book.

Also have a look at the line I made italic.
LFS 6.7 isn't the most recent version, but the previous version. I'm reasonably sure you can use the current BLFS version. Might need some tinkering at points, but isn't that half the fun
