Is that something I should worry about?

Eeek, looks like didnt install

Was this built from clean source ??

If you are rebuilding any parts it is always best to at the least run a make clean to clean up the source tree of whatever you are about to build, better is to unpack and build from clean source .

Running out of space as you are, it is best to remove the source tree of items as they are succesfully completed, this will also force you to rebuild clean each time (this is a good thing).

i got this error when trying to patch the file
-------------------------------------------------
root:/usr/working/gcc-3.2.1# patch -p0 < ../gcc-3.2-glibc-2.3-compat.diff
can't find file to patch at input line 3
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|*** gcc-3.2/libstdc++-v3/config/locale/gnu/c_locale.cc.bak 2002-04-19 09:59:03.000000000 +0200
|--- gcc-3.2/libstdc++-v3/config/locale/gnu/c_locale.cc 2002-09-29 01:08:12.000000000 +0200
--------------------------
File to patch:
root:/usr/working/gcc-3.2.1#
-------------------------------------
