Did you unpack the linux kernel package, enter the created dir and issue the make mrproper command?
Assuming you are building LFS 6.7 stable, I'm talking about this package: linux-2.6.35.4.tar.bz2
Hope this helps.
Just noticed your other post and it seems you are building LFS 6.6, which means you should unpack this package: linux-2.6.32.8.tar.bz2
Hi druuna, After creating /etc/passwd and /etc/group I'm not getting the 'I have no name!' prompt. And I'm not able to access the /mnt/lfs/sources to unpack the linux-2.6.32.8.tar.bz2. Please help.
Did you enter the chrooted environment and re-activate the mountpoints before you continued?
I'm talking about this: 6.4. Entering the Chroot Environment (mind the Note at the end!!).
