I have errors when I run make on gcc-4.4.1. I have looked in config.log, and although I can see numbers of errors I am not able to identify what is wrong.
Any help appreciated. below is config.log (sorry it is so long).
TIA

please avoid posting the complete logfile. You can upload it instead as attachment in your post. Keep in mind that you can only attach files with certain suffixes, so you might have to rename it, e.g. config.txt - not 100% sure about the naming convention.
As for your error, post the output of the last 10 to 20 lines before make aborted. Errors from make do not show up in the config.log.
IIRC, in a previous you have been recommended to use the liveCD as building host. Do not use Ubuntu. I can not really tell if your problem is related to your host or not since I used the liveCD for my build. Maybe someone else who successfully has build his LFS with Ubuntu can advise you on the issues you may encounter.
Until then you might want to try:
Code:
sudo apt-get install flex
Try reinstalling with a freshly untarred source.
Good luck!
