it was due to unavailability of a file "mtrace" in malloc folder. must 've missed something. i copied mtrace from the host n didn't find any error wid the check.
but,, after issuing make install ,,i am getting these errors

make[2]: Entering directory `/sources/glibc-2.3.6/manual
pwd=`pwd`; \
no libm-err-tab-.pl $pwd/.. > libm-err-tmp
/bin/sh: no:command not found
make[2]: *** [stamp-libm-err] Error 127
make[2]:Leaving directory `/sources/gibc-2.3.6/manual'
make[1]:***[manual/subdir_install] Error 2
make[1]:Leaving directory `/source/glibc-2.3.6'
make:***[install] Error 2

while building perl i had mis-named the folder perl5 as perl15.this folder is used 2 contain 5.8.8 folder containig perl utilities.hence was the error.
simply renaming the folder worked.

looking forward to successful LFS build.
