but when i try to execute this command

"../glibc-2.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr \
--disable-profile --enable-add-ons \
--libexecdir=/usr/bin --with-headers=/usr/include"

Configuration error is comming ......

If you can give the details of your distro and gcc, however, its best to get a newer gcc!, as thats what it complains

I have removed this error ...this was comming due to unsuccessfull installation of gcc (pass1).
but now new config error is comming after executing:

../glibc-2.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr \
--disable-profile --enable-add-ons \
--libexecdir=/usr/bin --with-headers=/usr/include
------------------------------------------------------------
Error :

checking size of long double... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (long double), 77
See `config.log' for more details.
---------------------------------------------------------------
this is config.log detail:

configure:6294: error: cannot compute sizeof (long double), 77
See `config.log' for more details.

Again can any one help me

thnx
Irfan
