Ext2 or Ext3?


Well, on the LFS book, it says to use Ext2 with it, but, I'm assuming, Ext3 is better, so, why not use that instead? Just curious.

You should be OK using ext3 providing that ext3 support is compiled into your kernel.

It's probably just outdated. ext3 is much newer then ext2.
Yup, ext3 is definitely superior compared to ext2.

and what is with reiserfs ... I've read about it and would prefer this fs ..
