Cant enter runlevel 3 automaticaly

My LFS system (I've done the first book) has some little problems...

I don't understand all the startup scripts and i think thereis something wrong with mine
When my computer boots, i've to enter the runlevel i want to go in...
Can someone explain me how to modify startup scrips? I also would like to launch the dhcpcd daemon at startup but i don't know how.

thx

not that up on LFS, but the value should be defined normally in /etc/inittab, with a default entry, typically just below the runlevel definitions themselves.

In /etc/inittab, you should have a line looking like:

id:3:initdefault:

if you want it to default to runlevel 3.

OK, thanx... It's proper than an "init 3" in a boot script!
