Dear all,

Good days,
May I know anybody successfully implemented the samba file sharing services in fedora core 3 which is support the shadow copy?

Do have a cheap but efficient file server, a shadow copy services is a must for our company. And, do anybody know how to allow windows 2003 domain user access samba file server without prompt the username and password?

Regards,
Ks

Either you setup these permissions in Samba to allow guests accounts access or setup Active Directory authentication with Samba if you use it with Windows, other than those that I can think of, you'll need to create samba users.

Mr. Trickykid,

Thanks or your reply,
Currently i have a active directory working well. What i want to do next is setup a fedora core 3 server to become a file server.
This server must provide the shadow copy services using LVM file system. Anyway, I don't have the exactly ideal how to do it.

And,
Next question is i would like to share a folder inside samba share folder (The fedora core 3 already join the AD) but don't want to create user in samba file system. Is it any method we can map permission on the folder direct to AD?

Regards,
Ks
