What are you trying to do with the -bb? I just looked at the man for rpm and it lists no such option. The only thing close is -vv which is very verbose "Print lots of ugly debugging information."

source the prob.
latest version of RPM allow build options such as -ba or -bb integrated into rpmbuild

SeT
'rpm -bb' has existed for ages so you may have a dodgy man page

The unknown option rpm is refering to is the filename you used with rpm -bb. The correct file name should end with the extension .spec, not .src.rpm. As in:
cd to the SPECS folder.
rpm -bb <filename>.spec
to start the build.
