Problem in ethernel configuration files

Hi,

I am doing a kickstart installation of RHEL4u4. The PCI card hardware has changed so I included e1000-7.6.9.1b.src.rpm after building it in my kickstart installation.

The problem now is that the entries for the ethernet ports (eth2,eth3,eth4,eth5) on the new card are not present in the /etc/modprobe.conf
I was able to resolve this by running kudzu -q command. But I am not sure whether I can include that command in my post installation steps of kickstart.

---------

Another problem is that the ifcfg-ethx files are not present in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ folder. Only ifcfg-eth1 and ifcfg-eth0 are present. I want that the ifcfg-ethx[2,3,4,5] files are created with device name, onboot, bootproto and hwaddr.
Since this is for a client I cannot ask them to create these files. Please advise me steps I can include to create these files in my post installation steps of kickstart.
