Multi-CPUs and CENTOS

I've loaded CENTOS on a Dell PowerEdge 2900 machine with 2 Quad Core processors. The OS does acnkowledge the present of four/logical processors in the first CPU, however it does not acknowledge the present of the second CPU and the four/4 logicals. How do I get the OS to acknowledge the present of the remaining CPUs.

When I run Windows 2008 Data Center on the machine it does recognize all of the CPUs as bing present.

Thanks

You might try passing the kernel the maxcpus=8 parameter. You do that by editing /boot/grub/menu.lst and placing maxcpus=8 on the kernel line of the grub entry for the kernel you are booting.
