migrate

hi,
i like to migrate an SAN to SAN using lvm on a host.
The disks in SAN are seen under 2 FC paths,so i disconect a fc cable from an hba and connect it to fc switch where is connected the new SAN.
Perform zoning and after scan on redhat i see the disk from new SAN.
I perform mirror existing logical volume and new disk.
then i leave only the new disk -/dev/sda with logical volume.
lvdisplay -m will show the volume that is on /dev/sda.
then i connect the second fc cable to the switch and the discover the new path to disk.
then service multipath restart.
should i perform other things logical volume related?
lvdisplay -m will show /dev/mapper instead /dev/sda?
tnx

Are the original SAN's disk paths in multipath already? If so lvdisplay -m should already be showing you /dev/mapper devices rather than /dev/sd* devices for SAN storage. (You might still have /dev/sd* for other devices such as internal disks on the server).

What is currently in /etc/multipath.conf?

What does "multipath -l -v2" show?

What does "pvs" show?

What does "lsscsi" show? (You may need to install lsscsi package if not already there.)
