Question Linux 32 bit or 64 bit


Hi,

I want to know what is command which tellme wheather linux is 32 bit or 64 bit

Look at the manpage for the "uname" command.

uname -a is probably easiest... if you're running for example AMD Opteron, or Athlon 64 with 64-bit OS you'll see x86_64 printed three times one after the other. If not, you'll see something like "athlon" or "i686" in the output somewhere.
