Kernel Panic during boot up
This server is configured with mdadm, it was fine yesterday until a reboot took place and it started to have kernel panic.
Errors:
no fstab.sys, mounting internals defaults
Switching to new root and running init.
unmounting old /dev
unmounting old /proc
unmounting old /sys
/bin/sh: ro: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Will disabling the md work? if so, how can i do that?
I have removed the mdmonitor from /etc/init.d and edited the grub.conf and fstab, but it still autodetect the raid during boot up and gave me kernel panic.
Should i change the file system type from Linux raid to Linux(ext3)?
Any help is so much appreciated.
Thank you.
