I am unable to mount to nfs server

Hai LQ
I am practicing nfs in RHEL5. I configured well. When I attempt to server from client I am unable to mount. First checked showmount -e in the client then it shows "mount clntudp_create: RPC: Port mappper failure - RPC: Unable to receive". What does it mean? and I started services in server and as well as client.
