how to format DVD

Hai LQ folks
I am using RHEL5 it contains dvd+rw. So my question is that how to format a writable dvd?

I do not understand the question.

Do you have RHEL already installed?

Do you want to know how to record a DVD?

Or perhaps you have RHEL on a DVD?

Put the disk in the drive, and write to it, use k3b or another disk-burning utility. If you want to use it as a regular disk, make a file system on it, mount it, and write to it.
