I have the sound card EMU10k1 installed and I can hear sound. I am though not able to get the micro running. I tried everything with the ALSA mixer, but..... Following some data, is there something wrong with the setting? I am running SUSE 9.1 Professional on a DELL DIMENSION 4600, ALSA 1.06 My lsmod shows the following:

In YAST2 it tells me that ALSA is activated and the MIDI devoce is: EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART) - Rawmidi 0 EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART) - ALSA device

If you want to use Midi:

1. Compile Alsa with oss support.
2. KControl -> Sound System:
Midi device=Rawmidi 0
full duplex=off

Hi Marek, thanks for the hints, but still not working. So I put the the "Audio Device" back to ALSA and the Midi to Kamix

I configure my micro with krec. When it run, your micro. is on.
Did you want to use your micro. on the back or on the front panel? I use it at the front panel.

try these two commands
amixer set Capture cap 8
amixer set Mic cap

Tried it but does not work yet. Following the output of amixer. Do you see anything strange? Thanks for your help in advance.
