Best Capturing tool.


Hello All,
I have been assigned to repackage some softwares in rpm format and to do so i have to find the monitor the system files the files are installed using vendor supplied methods and then create rpm packages using it.
Now i know about installwatch, i wanted to know if there are any other softwares also available which can be used in this regards.
