Apache - default *.pl or *.cgi scripts on NFS share

I am running Red Hat Linux ES 3 and Apache 2.x. I have mounted a NFS share on a NAS appliance and have the default document serving off this share to the Apache web site.
The question is.... How would I configure the system so that I can run *.pl or *.cgi scripts that are hosted in the default doc root on the nfs mounted share?????
Help please???????

thanks.
PD
